In addition, Cargill is one of the largest electricity shippers in North America and the largest exporter of natural gas out of Canada.

Cargill is one of the largest energy users in the world with annual energy expenditures exceeding $ 1 billion. Since 1997, Cargill Energy and Risk Management SolutionsSM (CERMS) has managed the energy supply chain of Cargill’s processing units by leveraging the expertise they have developed in the wholesale markets.

Today, CERMS provides energy risk management services to selected, external customers representing an annual portfolio of $450 million, using the same approach used to manage Cargill’s internal portfolio.

By working with CERMS to help manage your business’ energy expenses, you have access to the depth of resources of a major energy company, combined with the experience, knowledge and perspective of an end-user.

As one of the largest consumers of energy, Cargill understands the end-user’s perspective. We manage our operations by leveraging the same resources, processes and attention to exposure as if they were our own. We believe this common mindset is of critical importance to our clients.
